Custodian

Hours: Part-time, On call

Position Summary: As a Custodian, you play a key role in keeping Saik’uz First Nation’s buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for members and visitors. Your responsibilities include maintaining high standards of cleanliness, developing the cleaning schedule, and ensuring that community spaces remain in excellent condition.

With attention to detail and a commitment to a well-maintained environment, you help create spaces that reflect pride and care for the community. Your work directly supports a comfortable and safe atmosphere for all who use these facilities.

Events Coordinator, Interim

Hours: Temporary, full-time (interim)

Position Summary: As the Interim Events Coordinator, you will lead the planning and delivery of events that bring the Saik’uz First Nation community together and support organizational priorities. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of event coordination—from initial planning and budgeting to execution and reporting—ensuring events are professionally delivered, culturally respectful, and aligned with community values. You will collaborate with staff, vendors, and community members to create meaningful and well-organized experiences.

The Event Coordinator should expect to work irregular hours as dictated by the events schedule.

Firewood Coordinator

Manager, Health

Hours: Full-time, permanent

Position Summary: The Health Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of health services for Saik’uz First Nation. This includes monitoring and managing all health‑related budgets; supervising, supporting, and evaluating health staff; and ensuring effective planning, coordination, evaluation, and seamless delivery of all health programs. The Health Manager works collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to maintain a high standard of health programs and services for Saik’uz First Nation members.

Media Technician

Security Officer

Hours: Full-time or part-time, permanent

Position Summary: As a Security Officer, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of Saik’uz First Nation’s community and premises. Your responsibilities include conducting regular security patrols, controlling access to protected areas, and responding promptly to incidents such as unauthorized entry or safety threats.

You will implement security protocols, perform routine security checks, and liaise with the RCMP when necessary. Strong observational skills, a sense of duty, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for this role. Your presence helps maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all.

Supported Child Development Worker

Position Summary: As the Supported Child Development Worker, you will support children in their developmental journey by helping create an inclusive, culturally supportive, and nurturing childcare environment. You will work closely with families, childcare staff, and community supports to help children with extra support needs fully participate in daily activities and experiences. Youth Support Worker, Interim

Hours: Temporary, full-time (interim)

Position Summary: As the Interim Youth Support Worker, you will support youth and families by providing culturally grounded services that promote wellness, connection, and resilience. You will help strengthen cultural identity by supporting Dakelh (Carrier) and Sekani cultural programming, building relationships with knowledge holders and community partners, and assisting youth in accessing the services and supports they need. Working closely with community agencies, service providers, and families, you will contribute to positive outcomes for youth while supporting the goals of the Prevention Program.
